Prepare for your child’s first rounds

Ask the club what children need for the first lesson and which items can be borrowed. The required glove weight and protection may change with the exercises in the class. Age is a starting point, while the child’s measurements and the model’s size guidance determine the fit.

Avoid choosing oversized equipment simply to leave room for growth. Gloves and shin guards need to stay in place now. Check whether the child can close the fastening and move comfortably, then have the coach approve the equipment before partner work.
