Find shin guards that stay in place while you move
Letter sizes alone are a poor way to compare shin guards across brands. Measure the dimensions requested in the model’s size chart and check where the instep section sits. A guard should cover its intended area without catching at the knee or stopping the ankle from moving normally.
Consider the exercises in your class. Stand-up kickboxing and ground work place different demands on the way protection stays in place. Use the manufacturer’s intended-use information and your coach’s requirements to narrow the options before choosing a colour.
If you are replacing one part of a fight set, select your shin guard size independently of your glove weight. Our team can help compare a particular model with your measurements; include both when contacting us.
Questions before you choose
Can I use my usual size from another brand?
Use the chosen model’s measurements. Letter sizes are not a reliable direct comparison between brands.
Should children buy shin guards to grow into?
Choose a fit suited to their current measurements and have the coach confirm it. Oversized guards may move out of position.
