Match MMA and grappling equipment to your session
MMA, submission grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu overlap, but their equipment lists are not identical. Establish whether your class includes striking, grappling or both, and whether it is taught in a gi. That decision helps you narrow this mixed collection to the items you will actually use.
Glove design is particularly important when comparing MMA models. Check the stated purpose on the product page rather than assuming that every open-finger glove is appropriate for sparring or bag work. Your coach should confirm the model for partner training.
For no-gi sessions, compare rashguards and shorts using the club’s clothing requirements. For gi sessions, check the kimono size chart and whether the listing is for a complete uniform or a separate garment. Competition requirements may differ from ordinary training rules.
